How is Otso different from Meta Muse or Alexa?
They run in the cloud. Otso runs on a box in your home or office, on open-source software, paid for by a simple monthly plan or a one-off purchase instead of your data.
What’s included in the monthly price?
The box, all software updates and 24/7 support chat. When something goes wrong, a person from our team and Otso’s own support agent help you sort it out, day or night.
What does the deposit cover?
The box stays ours and we replace it if it breaks. You pay €150 once and get it back when you return the box.
Can I rename Otso?
Yes. If someone at home or at work is already called Otso, choose another wake word in the app.
Can I change my plan later?
Anytime. Moving to Family swaps your box for an Otso Wild Strawberry at no cost.
What if the box breaks or gets lost?
We replace the box. With the backup add-on (from €5/mo), Otso keeps an encrypted copy of its data on a second device, so your new box is restored with all agents, settings, notes and history. Without a backup, the data lives only on the box. The backup never goes to the cloud.
